
In
the recent years, biotech sector received a huge boost from the rapid
growth in technology sector and innovations in IT. The results tend to
be attractive both to investors and young companies that appreciate their
capabilities to deal with the most common problems of our times - the
lack of resources in underdeveloped countries, as well as the threat of
particular dangerous illnesses.
The project addresses the training needs of the rapidly changing world
in life sciences within the objectives for learning, strengthens a broad
education and understanding in life sciences and develops and trains a
skilled workforce in life sciences by creating a training programme for
upgrading of the previous curriculum and promotion of alternative education.
The JOBeL-Bio project considers new measures to support the flourishing
growth of smaller businesses in selected areas with particular needs,
including those which suffer from severe economic downturn in recent years,
the increasing level of unemployment and a particularly steep decline
in traditional employment opportunities. JOBeL-Bio unlocks the employees'
special knowledge as a valuable source of innovation and competitive advantage.
The project explores the opportunity and best way to establish efficient
methods to match a skilled workforce with job opportunities in the field
of biotechnology and environmental protection by dissemination measures,
and to refresh the current competence of this workforce in the target
areas.
